The right amount of compaction in the right place
The CCC-A navigator distinguishes between static and dynamic compaction as well as between vibration and oscillation. Rubber-wheeled, combination and tandem rollers with their various compaction systems are supported regardless of manufacturer.
Target values for the temperature window and the required number of static and dynamic passes are defined during planning, which enables the machine operators to minimize or rule out installation errors using the visualized rolling pattern.
The temperature scan of the Paver is available in real time not only to the site manager, but also to the roller fleet. This gives the paving team the opportunity to decide whether to continue with a strict rolling pattern or whether to prioritize cooler asphalt areas.
In the time-critical teamwork of asphalt compaction, the system makes full use of the advantage of cloud networking. Each roller operator sees the team result of the entire compaction work and can take over the task of another team member without delay if they have to leave the workplace to refill water, for example.
The most critical part of this final paving step is the process of dynamic compaction. The Navigator therefore monitors the rolling patterns, registers the surface temperature at which the asphalt was dynamically compacted for the first and last time and provides the person compacting with a compaction value that stagnates with increasing rollovers. Although this value does not correlate directly with the density, it does give the driver an indication of when it is no longer increasing and further rolling over will lead to segregation rather than a better compaction value.
