The MMA is part of a modular solution for mobile machines, consisting of a basic control (master) and expansion modules (slaves).

The connection of the expansion modules takes place at the operating system level and is therefore particularly easy: the system automatically identifies new modules using connector coding. 

This modular control solution provides a master (MMC) and three different types of extensions - slaves (MMA, MMD and MMC slave). 

A maximum of three MMA-type extensions, three MMD-type extensions and one MMC-type extension are permitted in a system. The largest possible expansion stage consists of a master and five slaves. The modular control solution communicates via CAN bus.
