For common control tasks, Völkel offers hardware platforms that are programmed with the appropriate software. Commissioning is therefore very simple: only a few parameters are adjusted by using the menu. These standard controls are available short-term.
The control intelligence in the software offers
Völkel microelectronics is developing and producing digital, electronic controls for mobile machines for more than 30 years. We are specialists in the control of mobile hydraulic processes.
The better a machine fulfills its special task, the more attractive it is for the market. Our specialty is to take a holistic view of the machine and to develop the perfect solution for each customer. We operate a high degree of modularization in the controls so that complex machines can be ready for the market in an acceptable development time. The modules are often standard solutions that have already proven themselves many times in the market.
Völkel controls are adapted to the machine by parameterization, programming knowledge is not required. The settings are made online with the ConDoc® PC software. The parameterization ranges from setting the inputs and outputs of the used peripherals up to completely changing the control properties. The control receives its function via parameterization.
The hardware is designed with protection class IP69K and the extended temperature range -40 ° C… + 85 ° C for the extreme operating conditions of mobile machines.

Quality increases when all processes are under the control and influence of a QM system. Hardware and software development are mutually reinforcing. This results in a coherent product, from development to support.
HCB and HCE are universal controllers for mobile hydraulic applications. HCE is equipped with two microcontrollers with mutual monitoring and a safety shutdown for the outputs.
A serial flash memory (2MB) allows the extensive logging of various machine states.
HCB- and HCE-controllers can be interconnected to form a larger system via the CAN fieldbus. CAN also enables communication with other electronic systems.
The MMS safety control system enables manufacturers to implement easily the latest security requirements for mobile machines. It provides functional safety according to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 specified by IEC 61508 or comparable standards.
The operating system ensures a clear separation between normal machine functions and the safety functions. For this purpose, it uses the redundant structure.

MMC, the modular solution for mobile work machines, is control unit consisting of a basic controller (Master) and extension modules (Slaves).
The size of the control unit can easily be scaled individually. Depending on the inputs and outputs required, the number of modules in the system can be varied. At the same time, the modules are acting externally in the control environment like one single controller.
The extension modules are connected at operating system level therefore making connection especially easy: the system identifies new modules automatically via their connector coding.
The modular MMC controller provides one Master and three different types of extension (slaves).
A maximum of three type MMA, three type MMD and one type MMC extensions are allowed in one system. The largest possible stage of extension for the MMC controller consits of one master and five slaves. The modular solution communicates via a CAN bus.
