Völkel Mikroelektronik GmbH founded by Ulrich Völkel.
Focus: the development and production of customer-specific microprocessor control systems for mobile hydraulic applications.

1986

Load limit sensing controllers for excavators produced in series..

1989

Development of operating data monitoring for hydraulic excavators introduced at the BAUMA [International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery] by a renowned construction machinery manufacturer.

1990

Völkel introduces digital amplifiers for proportional valves to the market.
The hand terminal simplifies commissioning and parameterisation of Völkel controllers on-site.

1992

Move into our own company building.
Völkel introduces Electronic Management for hydrostatic traction drives in construction machinery.

1994

The diagnosis program ConDoc enables making settings and documentation at the PC for Völkel controllers.

1995

The mobile hydro-controller ensures automotive operation and regulation of required quantities.

1998

The vibratory roller is equipped with a compaction measurement and assembly management system by Völkel.

2000

Remote diagnosis becomes possible using ConDoc via a modem.

2003

The development of an anti-blocking system with a drive control for mobile work machines goes into series production.

2004

The first comprehensive compaction control on the market for hand-operated land packers.

2005

Certification of the Völkel Quality Management System according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

2007

Access control and machine monitoring via RFID go into series production.

2008

Development of the modular MMC controller, an individual scalable PLC for mobile work machines.

2009

Völkel Mikroelektronik's 25th birthday.
To ease realization of individual control surfaces Völkel presents the touch screen MCD, the robust colour display on the AGRITECHNICA fair.

2010

Völkel Compaction Control is extended with two new products: the VCC navigator for earthwork and the ACM Asphalt Compaction Monitor for road building.
A new wing increases the size of the company building by more than the double.
