Railway track work vehicle

The entire handling of the heavy maintenance vehicle is electronically controlled and supervised. The machine operator is able to manoeuvre the vehicle in a sensitive manner and precisely, irrespective of the driving speed.

  • The variable hydrostatic speed can be individually adapted via the setting value ramp. The acceleration, reduction and braking times can be set separately for two driving situations.
  • In certain situations, e.g. at high speeds, a change in the direction of travel can be automatically blocked
  • The overspeed controller supervises the diesel RPM and can be separately activated for each operational mode.
  • When braking, the hydraulics transmit a large quantity of energy to the diesel engine. The controller coordinates the braking procedure in order to hinder the diesel engine overspeeding.
  • The control system reduces the driving speed automatically if the load limit is reached and thus protects the diesel engine against overloading.
