Overhead-line mounting vehicle

The overhead-line mounting vehicle is prepared for working on public transport rails and is used to install and adjust overhead contact systems. It consists of two rear working platform vehicles and a towing and transportation vehicle. All vehicles can be driven forwards and backwards, individually or coupled as a train.
The driving control supervises and coordinates all three vehicles.

  • The traction of all 18 wheels is controlled separately when accelerating and braking (ABS principle). The 6 hydraulic pumps are tracked during controlled operation mode in order to avoid a change in speed.
  • In order to protect the hydraulic engines, the revs are limited to a maximum.
  • The brake regulation ensures constant braking in all driving situations. It hinders too much "thrust" or "pull" during coupled operation.
  • During coupled operation the drive power of all vehicles is used.
  • The constant pressure controller regulates the hydraulic motors when a set acceleration pressure is exceeded.
This results in maintenance of the traction power of the vehicle.
  • The torque limit at the auxiliary drive has the effect that the diesel engine is not overloaded, e.g. by a too large hydraulic pump on the auxiliary drive.
  • The operating mode WORK with the options "cruise control" and "speed control" serves to unburden the driver. He can steer the vehicle forwards and backwards using the joystick, either coupled or individually. In coupled operation mode, the vehicle can be steered from 6 different work places.
  • When in transport operation mode, the hydrostatic adjustment is made in automotive mode by diesel revs.
  • The maximum speed allowed may be selected.
