Drilling rig, excavator

The hydraulics of an earthmoving plant can demand such a high output from a diesel engine that the maximum output of the diesel engine is exceeded quickly. The diesel engine is overloaded, loses its torque moment and stalls.
The load limit sensing controller regulates the power in order to hinder overloading and to use the engine output optimally in all areas.

Application 1
Application 2
  • The regulator controls the hydraulic pumps, dependent on the current load. The output of the hydraulic pump is regulated by permanent alignment of the set and actual diesel revs so that optimum hydraulic power results.
  • The load limit sensing control can regulate on a fixed or a variable RPM command value. With the help of the diesel characteristic which can be recorded in a one-off learning process, the actual rev limit is determined for each working point.
  • The regulator reduces the vibration of the machine for sudden loads. It works more regularly and is quieter.
  • The automotive mode of operation - setting the pump adjustment using command values - makes the operation far easier.
  • The software tool ConDoc enables individual adjustment of the load limit sensor control to each earthmoving plant.
  • The load limit sensor control can be used independently or in a CAN system.
